Hi everyone, I’m Neal. I graduated in 2006 from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne before taking part in General Professional Training in Newcastle Dental Hospital and a practice in South Tyneside. I completed GPT in 2008 after gaining MFDS at the Edinburgh Royal College of Surgeons. I have spent the last 2 years working as an associate in Newcastle upon Tyne where my interests are Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry and Dentoalveolar surgery. I am increasingly keen to get the DSLR out, get some study models made and take on large restorative cases. I feel I will always love getting my hands dirty by doing surgical extractions and so I take on inter-practice referrals for impacted wisdom teeth. Recently I have completed a yearlong cosmetic course so that I can increase my confidence with anterior restorative work and have recently cofounded a monthly restorative study group. Looking to the future I wish to further my knowledge and experience and keep practicing dentistry to the best of my abilities and my future goals are to do some implant training and possibly a bit of teaching. Outside of dentistry I am keen on exercising, enjoying regular cardio, weight training and playing the odd very amateurish game of squash. I shouldn’t forget to mention the odd riff or two on my guitar!
